Last year's colourful knee highs / viime vuoden värikkäitä polvisukkia

 

Tämä värikäs kolmikko valmistui vuosi sitten, mutta jäi kunnolla kuvaamatta. Tänään oli rapsakka -22C pakkanen ja sormien jäätymisenkin uhalla sain vielä viimeisellä valolla hieman kuvattua.

This colourful trio was knit a year  ago. They were just not filmed - until now. It was -22C today and and my fingers almost froze while filming, but the last light of the day got me these pictures at our front yard.

Jokaisesta sukasta on oma postaus, mutta kerralla kuvattuna näkee, että vuosi sitten tuli kudottua värikästä.

Väreiltään kirkkain pari oli välipäivä KAL nimeltään NIPPU, johon oli tarkoitus käyttää vuoden aikana jääneitä lankoja ja kutoa lankamuistoja nippuun. Tällaiset niistä tuli.

The brightest colour combo out of these three pairs is NIPPU KAL hosted by SullaVikat between Christmas and new year. The idea here was to knit together all of the past years left over yarn and remember the knits made with them. They turned out great! A bit bright for me, so they are a gift to someone that appreciates bright colours.

Toiset sukat on Mia Sumelin Henkäys-malli vuodelta 2022. Näiden sukkien kuvaaminen on ollut haastavaa, kun ne ovat yli polven sukat  ja talvella tuota päivänvaloa on vain hetken aikaa. No, nyt ne on saatu kuvattua ja käyttöön menevät kyllä. Näitä voisi aivan hyvin tehdä toisetkin - herkullisia värivaihtoehtoja on niin monia.

The second pair is a bought pattern called Henkäys by Mia Sumell. Not the easiest knit, but beautiful as a finished garment. Photographing these by my self was also a challenge. Winter gave only few moments of light as the year is changing. but I had a great assistant. I am keeping these socks for myself, but I could knit another pair with this pattern. there are so many delicious colour combinations to try.

Nämä sukat ovat aivan ihanat! Nämä jäävät itselle käyttöön. Tämä liukuvärjätty 7veljestä lanka tuo tähän malliin aivan erilaista herkkyyttä kuin alkuperäisen väriyhdistelmän musta-valkoinen vaikka sekin toimii todella hyvin
