Neisti nuoremmalle pojalle - Neisti for my younger son

 

Tämän neuleen suunnittelu eteni siten, että halusin käyttää siihen kaikki jäljellä olevat Lettlopi-langat ja kutoa 10v pojalle myös islantilaisneuleen. Ohjeita lapsille oli vähemmän ja Neististä löytyi sopiva koko ja ohje. Tämä on tehty kohta kolme vuotta sitten. Nyt löytyy jo useampia ohjeita.

This knitting began with the Lettlopi yarn that I already had. I chose to make the Neisti pattern for my 10 year old son, and I noticed that there we not so many patterns out there for children three years ago. Or maybe i just did not find them at that time. Now I know many more.

Neisti aloitetaan kutomaan alhaalta ylöspäin eli helmasta ja hihansuista. Tämä on oikeastaan hyvä, sillä molemmat hihat täytyy tehdä valmiiksi ennen puseron mielenkiintoisimman osan kutomista. Tällöin on pienempi vaara, että neule jää hihasaarelle.

Neisti pattern is knitted from bottom to top. This is actually good, as I need to finish the sleeves and torso before the most interesting part - the yoke pattern. There is a much smaller chance that the sweater will be left on the sleeve island.

Niesti is a beautiful pattern from Lopi-design, and can easily be found in many languages. You can have a very different look with this pattern by changing the colors.

Pojalla itsellään ei ollut muita toiveita kuin, että sinistä ja sitähän kuvioon tulikin. Pohjaväriksi tuli vihreä.

My son had no other requests for the sweater than he would like there to be some blue in it. And there are two different shades of blue in the pattern even though the base color is green.
