Alasuq

Alasuq on kaunis Linka Neumanin suunnittelema villapaita. Halusin tehdä neuleen mahdollisimman samoilla väreillä kuin mallissa ja päästä kutomaan pian. Siksi jouduin vaihtamaan pohjavärin Lettlopin Dropsin Karismaan ja se toimi täysin ohjeenmukaisesti minun käsialalla. Lisäksi Karisma on pehmeämpää ja mukava pitää päällä, vaikka Lettlopista muuten pidänkin.

Alasuq is Linka Neumann's beautiful design. I wanted to do this design with the exact colors and begin knitting soon. Well, to begin right away, I needed to change the base color to another wool yarn that fit the gauge. I chose Drops Karisma in light grey. The color yarn is Lettlopi as suggested in the knitting pattern. I was actually very pleased with Drops Karisma as it is softer and there fore nicer to wear, even though I like Lettlopi a lot.

Kudoin tämän villapaidan ennen perheen miehille kutomista vaikka se täällä blogissa näkyykin myöhemmin. Miesten paidat, Riddari, Stryta ja Neisti on kudottu kokonaan Lettlopista. Pidän erityisesti Lettlopin värivalikoimasta ja saatavuudesta. Pidän myös lopputuloksesta, jonka Lettlopilla yleensä saan aikaan. 

Kyllä, kudottu. Olen Pohjoisesta ja meillä päin puikoilla kudotaan. 

I knit this sweater before the other Icelandic sweater I did for my family and are presented here in the blog. The men's sweaters are different patterns; Riddari, Strýta and Neisti. They are knitted from Lettlopi. I especially like the colour choises there are in Lettlopi, and that they are quite easily available here. I also like the outcome I get with Lettlopi.
