Nietos - Drift of Snow - Leg Warmers

The beautiful colour of heather was the inspiration here when I chose the colours for my Drift of snow leg warmers. These leg warmers are part of the Nietos Collection are now on Ravelry Nietos Leg Warmers.

Kaunnit lapin kanervat ja kivet olivat näiden säärystimien värien inspiraatio. Säärystimet ovat osa Nietos-sarjaa ja ovat vihdoinkin Ravelryssä omana ohjeenaan  Nietos Leg Warmers.

Minulla oli onni saada testineulojia useammanlaisiin versioihin. Alla näet testineulojien versioita säärystimistä pitsiraidoilla ja ilman. Toimii molemmissa hyvin!

I was so lucky to get test knitters for both kind of versions of the leg warmers, and with different colours. Below you can see different colours of the leg warmers and lower the ones without lace pattern. Both work really well!

Nietossäärystimien ohjeessa on siis kaksi mahdollisuutta tehdä joko kivasti ryttyyn menevät säärystimet pitsiraidoilla tai ilman - Toimii molemmilla tavoilla! Säärystimissä on resori molemmissa päissä joustavalla aloituksella ja päättelyllä. Raidat ovat suhteellisen helppoa kirjoneuletta, joissa on pitsikerrokset. Ohjeessa on selkeät kaaviot kuvioon ja pitsiin sekä koot kouluikäisille lapsille, nuorille ja aikuisille.

The pattern of Nietos leg warmers includes two options for knitting the leg warmers - with or without the lace pattern. The lace pattern makes the nice ruched leg, but the one without is beautiful as well! The leg warmers have rib in both ends with stretchy cast on on bind off. The stranded colourwork is relatively easy including the lace pattern. There are clear charts and intructions for in the pattern including sizes for children(school kids), youth and adults.

The height of the leg warmers is about 35 cm in full height. One of the test knitters made the legwarmers without the lace pattern, but with longer rib. Works beautifully like that as well. Here you can see the difference. I really like them both!

Säärystimien korkeus on kokonaisuudessaan noin 35 cm. Alla näet yhden testineulojan tekemät säärystimet ilman pitsiraitoja ja toisen pitsiraidoilla. Molemmat ovat hienoja!

One of the test knitters chose these beautiful colours with forest green. They work very well together too. I absolutely love these.

Myös testineulojien valitsemat värit olivat upeita metsän vihreitä eri sävyissä ja toimivat hyvin yhteen. Tykkään näistä molemmista tosi paljon.

Nyt täytyy myös kertoa, että pieni vaellus, jolla kävimme kuvaamassa Nietos-sarjaa, oli ihan mahtava ilman kuvaustakin. Ilma oli loistava ja pohjoisessa oli jo pientä maaruskaa nähtävillä, kun yöllä lämpötila kävi nollassa. Samalla päästiin testaamaan neuleita ihan käytännössä ja säärystiemt olivat minulla jalassa koko reissun - Ja lähtevät mukaan kyllä seuraavallekin reissulle!

The hike was great even without the photographing. The weather was just great and there were some autumn colours on the ground already. At the same time we got to test the knitwear in practice and I actually wore my legwarmers the whole hike - worked well!
